July 21, 2004 To: President Branko Crvenkovski Cc: Macedonian Political parties The Macedonian Alliance expresses condemnation of the recent agreement for decentralisation of Struga, Skopje and in 2008 Kicevo. We urge the government and parliament to denounce this decision as a provocative denigration of the Macedonian people. The Macedonian Alliance is expressing major concern as the Albanian vision for the federalisation of Macedonia and division of Macedonia on ethnic lines is sliding into reality. This decision is a hideous act against the people of Macedonia and the national consciousness of Macedonians living in Macedonia and the Diaspora. This impact cannot be comprised for entry into NATO or the EU, as it is evident that NATO and the EU do not have any immediate vision to invite Macedonia into these two world organisations. Ironically, whereas these same organisations will not submit to threats of violence and terrorism, they hypocritically demand that the Macedonians do. Whereas the ethnic Macedonians living in neighbouring countries have little right to self determination, NATO, the EU and there media outlets inaccurately and deceitfully scorn the Republic of Macedonia for not giving Albanians more rights. Given any more rights, the Macedonian people within their own country will have to change their language, culture, religion, flag and anything else that does not appease the Albanian minority. The Macedonian Alliance is urging all citizens of Macedonia to attend the rallies that are being organised in protest against these decisions. We urge you President Mr Branko Crvenkovski and Prime Minister Mr Hari Kostov in the name of all Macedonians to reverse the decision as the national interest of Macedonians cannot be comprised for anything that exists in this world, and remember, it wasn't the minority Albanian vote that got you into power but the majority Macedonian vote.
