April 27, 2004 Comments by the board of the MA regarding the recent unrest by Albanians in the Balkans. When the international community treats the Albanian question as it did the Serbian, only then will we see a shift in change. The Albanian extremist groups which are leading the way in Kosovo have seen how incapable and tolerant the international community is towards them. Why should they stop with their nationalistic aims of a pure ethnic Greater Albanian in the Balkans. Look at Macedonia and the Albanians that live there. The international community did all possible to pressure the Macedonian government in to abiding to Albanian demands. Until the conflict in Macedonia, it was seen as an example of a multiethnic state. Yet with the terrorist onslaught by Albanian militia (many of them members of the Kosovo Protection Corpse) set on crossing the border and carving out territory, (aided by local Albanian chieftains, involved with illegal activities such as prostitution and drug smuggling) the international community gathered all and reached an agreement which awarded Albanians for their armed terrorist actions and branded Macedonians as nationalists. The Albanians, hiding behind the mask of human-rights (being taught by the former American administration and still supported by certain congress man) have been only awarded for their destructive ideals. Why should they co-operate with the international community in Kosovo when they know that they don't posses the power nor the will to stop them. The international community has a weakness when it comes to their soldiers being casualties and the Albanians know it. It's about time that the international community sees the real face of Albanians and their nationalism. Today, there is no doubt that they are the most nationalistic and intolerant nation in the Balkans. Regards Macedonian Alliance |
